Compost preparations 502–506, set (Brunnenhof)

The compost preparation set 502-506 from Brunnenhof Mäusdorf contains the biodynamic compost preparations yarrow (502), chamomile (503), stinging nettle (504), oak bark (505) and dandelion (506). These preparations promote the transformation of organic material into high-quality compost, improve soil structure and support plant growth. Their specific effects range from promoting humus formation to strengthening soil processes.

In accordance with the Demeter standards, the preparations should be applied regularly to compost heaps, manure and other organic fertilisers in order to improve their maturity and nutrient content. They are introduced into the compost individually and supplemented by valerian (507), which is sprayed over the heap.

The set is ideally stored in a frost-free room protected from light, surrounded by at least 10 cm of coconut fibre or, alternatively, peat. The moisture must be checked regularly to ensure the effectiveness of the preparations.
